Butch understood what we meant. He made sure that he was not the center of attention — for reasons good or bad — but rather that my wife and I were. He played the music we requested, he read our guests well and put on the right piece at the right time. His equipment was top-rate; the room was full of sound and light, but it wasn’t overwhelming.
